Equality campaign

In 2024, Cisco Pride Global embarked on a transformative equality campaign, uniting local chapters under a cohesive theme to amplify our presence in Pride parades worldwide. This initiative not only celebrated diversity and inclusion but also showcased Cisco’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

Challenge

In the vibrant and diverse setting of a pride environment, standing out amidst a sea of colours presents a unique challenge. Convincing stakeholders on the strategic use of colours—considering when, where, and which hues to employ—requires a thoughtful approach to create a design that is both diverse and accessible for various applications. Additionally, adapting designs for multiple print processes proved to be a complex task, compounded by the need to collaborate effectively with printers across different languages. These challenges highlight the intricacies involved in delivering a cohesive and impactful visual identity.

Solution

In our project, we developed multiple designs centered around the theme of equality. Within the pride environment, where everything was already adorned with vibrant pride colors, we strategically chose to incorporate our corporate colors into the t-shirts and signage. This approach allowed us to maintain brand consistency while still participating in the celebration. For our internal communications and social media platforms, we embraced the full spectrum of rainbow colors to visibly demonstrate our support for the pride movement.

The execution of this project required meticulous dedication and attention to detail, particularly when coordinating with printers and managing the production processes. Effective stakeholder management was crucial to set clear expectations and ensure alignment across all parties involved. Through proactive and transparent communication, we successfully navigated the complexities of the project, delivering a cohesive and impactful representation of our commitment to equality.

The result

The project was a resounding success, as it fostered a sense of unity and representation within Cisco’s pride community. The theme was well-received and sparked numerous conversations about Cisco’s commitment to an inclusive future for all. Staff, partners and clients embraced the giveaways which further enhanced the positive atmosphere, leaving everyone feeling happy and engaged.

Global outreach

It was truly inspiring to witness Cisco’s global community unite under the theme of equality, embracing and celebrating Pride with enthusiasm and commitment. The vibrant energy was palpable, as employees from diverse backgrounds came together to support and uplift the LGBTQ+ community. This spirit of inclusivity was beautifully captured in the photos from the Paris Olympics and Manchester Pride, where staff and volunteers wore the Cisco Pride Equality Tshirts beautifully.
